Homopolymer, lithium-battery grade powder Haiflon® PVDF FP-817 is a high-purity lithium-battery-grade vinylidene fluoride (VDF) homopolymer powder. It dissolves completely into a clear, impurity-free solution in NMP (1 g / 10 ml, 30 °C) with a rotational viscosity of ≥ 200 mPa·s and an intrinsic viscosity of 1.0 – 2.0 dl/g. It provides strong adhesion between active materials and current collectors, good electrolyte resistance and electrochemical stability, and is used as a cathode binder and separator coating in lithium-ion batteries.
