Homopolymer, coating grade powder Haiflon® PVDF FP-816 is a high-purity vinylidene fluoride (VDF) homopolymer powder with a melt flow rate of 0 – 2.0 g/10 min (230 °C, 5 kg), a purity of ≥ 99.5 % and a dispersion fineness of ≥ 5.5 Hegman. Dissolved in polar solvents (NMP, DMF, DMAC etc.), it serves as the base resin of solvent-borne fluorocarbon coatings for architectural topcoats — especially light-color baking finishes with outstanding weatherability.
